Mastermind Artist Showcase FAQs:
How many songs do we get to do?
Every invited performer showcases one song, no longer than 4:30 minutes in length, including what you’re going to say before you begin playing.
What type of equipment and instruments will be there?
– Smash Studios is fully equipped with professional sound and lights.
– A digital piano with weighted keys will be available.
– An assortment of awesome guitar amplifiers will be in the room for you to use.
– We have D/I boxes for you to plug in an acoustic guitar. Please bring your own guitar. If you’re flying in and want to borrow someone else’s, please let us know.
I’m using tracks in my performance, is that okay?
Absolutely. I’ll be in touch soon with a dropbox folder so you can give us the mp3 ahead of time.
What should I wear?
Honestly, whatever you want. Many people choose to bring something to change into before their showcase. Keep in mind, this entire event is a great time to take pictures and videos for your portfolio, social media, and pitch decks. Come as your artistic self.
Can I bring a guest?
You should have already filled out the guest request form. If you didn’t please do so now:

We’re going to have a really fun networking event on Saturday, where you’ll be more than welcome to give out business cards, stickers, or anything else you’d like to bring. I would say it would be good to have 35-40 copies of whatever you want to bring on hand.
RELAX AND HAVE FUN! – If this is your first Music Career Mastermind event, let me assure you that I make sure all of our events are world class, comfortable and SO. MUCH. FUN. No awkward “icebreaker” exercises. No forced extroverted activities where introverts get left behind. We’re artists. We’re unique. We get to have our own experiences in ways that are meaningful to us. This is not a “force yourself to get out of your comfort zone” experience. This is a comfortable space with really open-minded, kind, collaborative people. We’ve got you. Enjoy!
